ULTiMA: Urban and Local Time Machines for Living History (preproposal under review)

In 2019 the Dutch Time Machine consortium submitted the research preproposal ULTiMA: Urban and Local Time Machines for Living History for the Dutch Research Agenda NWA-ORC funding scheme.  The multidisciplinary consortium unites leading researchers from universities, universities of applied sciences, heritage institutions, memory organizations, local governments and industry partners to answer the research question: How can a localized and participatory approach to heritage and history support citizens to actively and critically participate in the development of their living environments?

We’re still waiting for the reviews, but we’re excited to pursue this line of research in the coming years, one way or another.
